Information Night
On Thursday, November 29th, 2012, at 7:00 pm Henry Wise Wood is hosting an information night for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. We usually have over 200 attendees. Applications are available as a downloadable document from now on (needs to be updated for 2012-13) from either the link on our website or the CBE website. Deadline for application is January 11 2013. PLEASE try to keep ALL application documents together. Some references may be sealed and you can either drop it off yourself to the Main Office OR some feeder Junior Highs will mail them out as a bundle. Please give referees enough time to complete their section. More information is available here on the IB pages. A brochure explains how we run the program at our school (will also be updated soon)
Remember that your area of residence determines which IB school to apply to and attend. A Tranfer from you regular program designated High School is mandatory if it isn’t HWW (even if you are not from the Calgary Board of Education). Some High School might not want to sign these when you show up to their school. Is this is the case we will process the application and handle the transfer when you are accepted and invited to register.
The course choice on the application is not permanent but to help us keep statistics to start planning the needs for classes and staff. The official registration in March will lock you course choices into a timetable.
